Got seeds gathering dust in a drawer? A surplus of something that went rampant last summer? Or perhaps you'd simply like free plants and a perfectly good reason to leave the house on a Saturday morning?

You're warmly invited to the Ventnor Allotment Association Seed & Plant Swap — a proper community affair with seeds, conversation, and the unhurried charm Bonchurch does so well.

Saturday 28th March, 11am–1pm The Portacabin (above Ventnor Allotment Association), Leeson Road, Bonchurch

Bring seeds to swap, or simply turn up empty-handed and leave with pockets full of possibility. While you're there, have a chat with the wonderful people behind the Allotment and Ventnor Community Shed — they're a good bunch.

Good to know:

• Some seed packets are unopened; others have been lovingly decanted into smaller bags. Check the 'plant by' date if that's your sort of thing.

• Can't make the morning? Any remaining vegetable and flower seeds will be on the G.I.V.E. table at Ventnor Library from late afternoon after the event.

• Entry is free. Enthusiasm optional but welcome.
