Open Gardens

Stone steps leading to a lush garden with various plants and pink flowers.

Every summer, something truly special happens here in Bonchurch — our beautiful little village comes alive with colour, charm, and community spirit for the Bonchurch Open Gardens weekend. Once a year, many of us fling open our garden gates and you’re warmly invited!

It’s a lovely way to wander through hidden corners of Bonchurch, explore a variety of private gardens — from neat cottage plots to lush, landscaped havens — and enjoy the peaceful beauty that makes our village so unique. We also offer cream teas, homemade cakes, plant stalls, and a cheerful welcome at The Hub on Village Road.

All proceeds go back into village projects, like our magical Christmas lights around the pond. So come for the gardens, stay for the community — and don’t forget your walking shoes and appetite!

Tickets are available on the day at participating gardens and at The Hub. Parking is easy on Shore Road, and there’s a shuttle bus to help you get around.

Hope to see you there!
